Hey everyone! This is Alyssa, Barrett, and Emma's blog. We post thoughts and tons of information about things. We hope you like it and that it helps you. :)
''Sally'' lives in Alanta, Georgia and has been growing up like any other teenager, being influenced by both her peers and parents. Although, she never expected how exposing she is to the internet. In her case, the bullying wasn't as severe as it could've been.
Unknown to ''Sally'', a class mate when she was 13 started taking pictures of of her. The photos were then posted on an internet by a fake social media page. The page was made to look like Sally had posted the photos herself. Sally became aware of the website only through friends and third parties. The information on the page was very detailed, and public. The creator of the page denied posting everything. Sally enrolled in a different middle school because she was being excluded.
In ''Sally's'' case, the result was only the loss of a few friends, but it could've been far worse. Simply by someone having access and time could ruin someone's life.
Almost 43% of kids have been bullied online. 1 in 4 has had it happen more than once. More than 80% of teens use a cell phone regularly, making it the most common medium for cyber bullying. 68% of teenagers agree that cyber bullying is wrong. 81% of the young population think cyber bullying is a serious problem. Think before you do or say, or this could happen to you.... The video you are about to watch is from the movie "Cyberbully". It is on youtube and it shows you what can happen from cyber bullying.
Is instagram making teenagers worse than they already are? It may not seem like it. Teenagers use instagram to build up popularity. They post pictures of themselves and friends at different events and occasions. But, sometimes they post other things. The world today, is a very graphic place. They sometimes think that if one person does something, they have to do it too. This is because of peer-pressure. They feel that they need to fit in... due to bullying, fear of being excluded, and separation from so called "friends". Cyberbullying can put a big toll on a teenagers self-esteem. It can sometimes take lives. Be sure to stay safe on the internet. Before you post, if you wouldn't do it in person don't do it online.
Instagram is an online mobile social networking program that allows its users to share photos and videos. It also lets its user share on other social networking sites. Such as...Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and Flickr.
